It was the first snow of the year the day he moved away. I never felt colder snow in my life. The white flakes stood out on my black clothes, my own way of mourning. I stared at the fluffy powder slowing appearing on the ground and wondered if it was warm where he was. For him it was a new life but for me...it was the end of mine. Maybe when the snow is gone he'll come home. Maybe he will come with the sun and wake me from my frozen slumber, but until then I will freeze here without his arms to warm me. I curled up on the ground and watched as my tears fell with the snow, freezing as they hit the ground. Hello winter, goodbye my love.
